The Could-Have-But-Did-NotWas talking to a fren today... she juz got attached recently. She told me that suddenly she realised she is still thinking of this guy she was very close to in the past, but cos of bad timing and a lack of courage on both parties, they did not get together. He is, what I will call, the
could-have-but-did-not. You could have gotten together with him, but you did not... for various reasons, maybe it was the wrong timing, maybe at that time when he liked you, you did not have the same feelings for him, maybe either of u was attached at that time (ok salah... this one is not counted, cos it's not a could-have... my blog does not encourage infidelity).
Which of these guys will always have this lingering longing effect on you, even when you may already be attached to someone else, your ex-bf, or the
could-have-but-did-not? Of cos the latter la! Simply cos u had some really great times with the
could-have-but-did-not, you were once very happy just seeing his presence, in the end u 2 din get together... meaning, there wasn't any bad memories with him at all. Your ex? He's called the ex for a reason obviously... maybe u 2 spilted on neutral terms, but inevitably there'll definitely still be bad memories amidst the good ones. Like quoted frm my dear YY, "relationships are good when it's good, but there is more shit than good." (not the exact words, but u get the idea...). That explains why this fren of mine, she can completely forget abt her ex alr, but still cant forget the
could-have-but-did-not.
Then does this count as a mild infidelity to ur current bf? Maybe not... maybe yes... to me, I think it's just a matter of wrong or right person at the wrong or right time. The right person at the wrong time, the wrong person at the right time, the wrong person at the wrong time, the right person at the right time. The ex, the current bf, the
could-have-but-did-not and the one u're gg to marry. Do the mix and matching yourself.

Movie MarathonI juz finished watching 2 of Andy Lau's movies... taking a break now. Surprisingly the chinese movie industry is improving alot in term of the quality and storyline of their movies... maybe I shld reconsider my discrimating of spending money to watch Chinese movies at the cinemas. But of course must be those really good ones... those upcoming ones, that my dear Cryst and Jo's planning to go watch, with those fanciful costumes and effects and actors... nvm...
Anw the first show I watched just now was the one in which Andy Lau took some potion and grew old very quickly. It seems like just a normal show, but it really makes u tink alot, abt life, about age, abt growing old. The part which I remember distinctly is when he rushes back to the man who invented this potion and pleaded with him to let him turn back into a child, and the man told him coldly, why issit that until now you still dun get it? You can never turn back time, and you should not need to turn back time. I think it's so meaningful. The kid hates his childhood and wants very badly to turn into an adult... when actually growing up is a slow process, during which u gotta learn and grow... so that you wun ever need to want to turn back time, because u had lived your past years meaningfully. I was lyk controlling my tears at the end I almost choked on the tears stuck in my throat... damn embarassing if I let it out, my dad and sister watching with me... and lucky for me I was making my earrings while watching, so to not want to cry out loud, I concentrated on my hands instead of the screen...
Immediately after, I played the show in which Andy Lau plays a super muscular man, thought it looked kinda gross which they were screening it in cinemas... but it's actually another very good movie. What I like abt it is that it involves a little bit of Buddist teachings, and it really, suddenly, makes u think abt life... abt revenge, and the monster in your heart. Although I've no religion now, one day when I'm ready to have a religion, I will definitely convert into a Buddist... because I like the way Buddism focuses on teaching morals, values and life.
Anw I got many more shows to cover... was telling Liza my study table looks like the one of a street peddler selling pirated cds... China is the ultimate king of piracy man...

A Great X'mas !For the first time we actually had a proper countdown... learning our lesson from last year... a very important lesson to be learnt, NEVER go Orchard on X'mas Eve, or X'mas Day, whatsoever. So this year we decided to go Cityhall instead! It is SO much quieter than Orchard I guarantee... and it was really fun being with my darling Catas mates, and Mel was sporting enough to stay even after dinner even though she is not staying over at Cryst's. Ok my hand really itchy cant control a few more days to blog, cos coincidently all our cameras battery flat after taking just a few fotos, and cos Cryst and my camera are to be charged, we gotta rely on Mel's cos hers is battery-operated... juz go buy new batteries. But this means that I gotta wait for the next time we meet up to get the photos frm her! So nvm... I shall juz upload the few fotos Cryst and mine combined... during dinner at Nooch, and when we reach home at Cryst's place. As for those taken at La Viva... sigh... will get from Mel soon...

Short Summary Of My TripOk I shall try to keep my long-windedness to the minimum so my frens pls bear with it for a teeny little while k?

My dad and kid cousin playing guards... we were visiting this old prison used long long ago...
At at some waterfall, which is supposed to be the 3rd largest in the world... but as usual, I forgot the name...
Visiting an old town... I love visiting old towns... they have the interesting vendor stalls that sell the most interesting stuff...

I TOTALLY love China kids (countryside)... they are just so adorable and spunky, not the city ones though... China city kids are so damn spoilt and irritating...
Ooooh I gotta elaborate on this pic. The tour guide explained that this bridge is called the dunno wad bridge... something abt 3 years one. Meaning, when one dies rite... he/she will wait for his/her partner at this bridge for 3 years until he/she joins him/her. And so couples who walk across this bridge holding hands will be a couple again in their next life. My parents are both chinese educated and not the kind that expresses their love for each other openly, so I was SO surprised when my mum told my dad, "den we go walk across it lor". WAH! So SWEEET!!! I even took a video of them walking across the bridge. Awww.... anw it's just stg the locals believe in la... abt that myth of that bridge...

The great dam. I am so amazed by this magnificent structure. At 12 midnight of the 3rd night on the ship, we entered the dam. We were IN the dam... dats the amazing thing. And my dad had to explain to mi and my bro how does the structure work, super duper amazing. I stayed up till 1 plus with my bro just to wait for the lowering of the water in each dam, and for the next gate to open to move into it. It's really one of the most amazing structure I ever saw... I even made a mental note to read up more specifically abt this great dam thingy when I'm back. Wow...

Hey my darlings, I'm back! Reach S'pore at arnd 11 plus last nite, reached home at almost 1am. Now I'm thinking of how to update my blog abt my trip but I realised it's gg to be really long... and Shih told me that my blog takes the longest to open... tink shld be cos I always upload many fotos on my blog. Den I was trying to upload my fotos juz now when I realised there's no way I can cut down on the fotos cos I'm so long-winded I would be tempted to upload alot of fotos and elaborate abt each and every one of them! Aaargh... I see if I can do it later in the nite... if not I'll juz not upload pics of my China trip...

Let The Pictures Do The Talking...I tink I'm getting really lazy to blog nowadays... maybe for one my connection is killing me and after a few traumatic experiences with blogger that ate up my long long posts, I kinda give up on blogging long award-winning articles... haha! Went out with Tab yesterday, had a really wonderful time having sushi buffet, trying out clothes everywhere and squeezing together in the same changing room to take photos! But of cos... I will not display those pics here... so embarassing. They're for both of us to laugh at between ourselves... haha...
That's Tab... we took this in the toilet... I kinda like the background so suggested taking photos there lor...

And then I met up with the Giggly Girls today... it wasn't full attendence, poor Shih kena food poisoning... and it is just so coincidental we were discussing abt out traumatic experiences with food poisoning today... abt how I got phobia against meat buns, xiao long baos and potato salad cos of bad food poisoning experience, how Liza will not eat at Thai Express again cos she had food poisoning after eating something from there, and how Kim is scared of Siew Mai, also cos of bad food poisoning experience. Haha... a few of us met earlier to go KTV... had a great time singing my duets with PZ cos surprisingly both of us seem super on form today and all our duets turned out very nice! (Ok... being a bit BHB here...)
